International Guitar Night brings together four exceptional guitarists from around the world for an evening spanning remarkably diverse musical traditions. Hosted by Australia’s Minnie Marks, a powerhouse of blues, roots and fiery slide guitar, the 2028 lineup features Brazilian guitarist André Cavalcante’s cinematic fingerstyle and percussive acoustic techniques; Congolese-Irish virtuoso Niwel Tsumbu’s exhilarating fusion of African rhythms, jazz, classical and rumba; and acclaimed French guitarist Roxane Elfasci’s elegant classical repertoire, from Debussy to contemporary works. Together, they showcase the extraordinary range of the guitar through solo performances and inspired collaborations.

Minnie Marks (IGNC 2028 Host) is an award-winning Australian guitarist, singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist known for her explosive blend of blues, roots and rock. A formidable live performer, she combines ferocious guitar work and a powerhouse, soul-soaked voice with a foot drum to create a remarkably full sound all her own. André Cavalcante is a Brazilian guitarist and music producer known for his distinctive cinematic fingerstyle, blending classical technique with Brazilian and Latin rhythms, flamenco influences and contemporary percussive guitar. His dynamic approach incorporates fingerstyle, tapping, slapping and rhythmic drumming on the guitar body, creating rich layers of melody, rhythm and texture.
